Ready for facts about bamboo?

Imagine: a green hero creating a positive impact at lightning speed. In East Asia, this hero is recognized as "the plant that can save the world" - Bamboo! Allow us to explain how this miraculous plant can secure a promising future for us.

Bamboo, the tireless innovator

Bamboo, with its impressive growth rate of up to 91 centimeters per day, holds the title of the fastest-growing plant in the world. What's even more astonishing is that when we harvest bamboo, the roots remain intact, and the bamboo starts growing again from the same stem. This makes it a self-renewing superhero in the plant kingdom! In terms of its use as a raw material, bamboo can be harvested within 3-5 years. In comparison to other renewable resources for paper production, such as pine which takes 30 years, and oak which takes a staggering 80 years, bamboo is an absolute speed demon!

Bamboo, the true hero

What further distinguishes bamboo as a green superhero is its ability to be cultivated without the use of pesticides, fertilizers, or chemicals. This is thanks to the potent, natural antifungal agent that bamboo possesses. It protects the plant during its growth process and during the production of the fibers used for paper. The Good Roll consciously opted for 100% organic, unbleached rolls, ensuring that our products are free from harmful chemicals and hypoallergenic. Bamboo is not only green but also pure!

Bamboo, the air purifier

Did you know that bamboo is a powerful natural CO2 sink that keeps the air clean? Bamboo stores 35% more carbon and produces 35% more oxygen than trees. Are you curious about how bamboo paper products can have a positive impact on the environment? Bamboo is the air purifier from which we can all benefit

Intercropping with Bamboo

Intercropping is a sustainable agricultural practice in which bamboo is cultivated alongside other crops. As you may know, bamboo grows rapidly and offers benefits such as natural shade, wind protection, and improved soil fertility. But that's not all! Bamboo also aids in reducing greenhouse gases and provides additional sources of income through harvesting. This approach thus promotes sustainable agriculture and biodiversity!

Bamboo, where does it grow?

Bamboo is truly a globetrotter, having established its stalks on nearly every continent on Earth. Bamboo enjoys the sunny side of life, as it is primarily found in the tropical and subtropical paradises of Asia, Africa, and Latin America. It even ventures to the far northern reaches of North America and Central China, while its adventurous southern companions settle in the beautiful Patagonia. And to top it all off, it also takes a journey to the northern regions of Australia. Bamboo is truly a global superstar!

And what about the pandas?

The most common bamboo species consumed by giant pandas is Fargesia Spathacea Franch. Pandas do eat other bamboo species, but fortunately, the Bambusa Vulgaris, from which our bamboo fabric comes, is not a favorite snack of pandas. So no need to worry about your panda friends!

So, are you ready to join the green revolution? Together, we can harness this green superhero, bamboo, to secure our future and save our planet!
